The Bihar School of Yoga, founded in 1963 in Munger, Bihar, by Swami Satyananda Saraswati under the guidance of Swami Sivananda, teaches traditional yoga rooted in Vedanta, Tantra, and other ancient philosophies. Located at Ganga Darshan, the school upholds the spiritual vision of its founders. Bihar Yoga Bharati, the world's first university dedicated to yogic education, combines scientific methods with spiritual teachings. Swami Satyananda Saraswati established this legacy, and his successor, Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati, previously served as Chancellor of Bihar Yoga University. Swami Suryaprakash Saraswati is now the appointed successor.
